Media Literacy(n): the ability to critically analyze stories presented in the mass media and to determine their accuracy or credibility.
Why is it
important?
In a world that is constantly developing technologically, media literacy is especially important in combating fake information, creating smart consumers, and allowing for a diversity of perspectives on sociopolitical content.
